Jacob & Co begins a partnership with Bugatti. This year, the brand celebrated the car that broke the 300 mph mark. The Twin Turbo Furious Bugatti 300+ is a tribute to the Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+. The watch has high-tech materials and mechanics - just like a car. It features two three-axis tourbillon escapements, each rotating continuously at multiple speeds. It also features a decimal repeater that tells the time: hours, 10 minutes after the hour, and minutes after 10-minute intervals. The monopusher chronograph can time laps. The movement consists of 832 parts.

The highly anticipated Batman movie was an instant hit in March, soaring to $134 million domestically on its debut. Now movie fans can get their hands on a Gotham City watch designed by Jacob & Co.

The luxury watch company partnered with Warner Bros. on the project. As you might expect, this Batman-inspired watch is unique and doesn't come cheap. So what can Bat fans expect?

Of course, at any cost. Jacob & Co. created two versions of the iconic 45.5mm Gotham City watch to represent the superhero's dual identities. The first 36 watches come in black diamond-like carbon (DLC), inspired by Batman, while the remaining 36 come in 18-carat rose gold, a nod to his secret identity, Bruce Wayne.

Every detail is full of symbolism, closely related to the legend and his hometown. Fans will be delighted by the sharp, pointy lugs and indexes that resemble the Batsuit costume, the crown covered with a rubber band that looks like a Batmobile tire, and the shape of the dial cut into a piece of polished agate for the Bat logo.

In keeping with the heritage brand, bright yellow outlines the dial and strap, contrasting with the jet-black stones. The rose gold model has a caseback made of traditional clear sapphire, while the black DLC model features an intricately laser-etched Batman signature graphic.

The luxury timepiece features a pair of tourbillons shaped like the grappling hook launchers Batman uses to climb the walls and rooftops of Gotham City. The rotating cage is made of sandblasted titanium and covered in shiny black and matte gray, alluding to the constant switching between darkness and light inherent to the Batman/Bruce Wayne character.

Perhaps most impressive is the highly complicated movement of this fine timepiece. The tourbillon rotates on three different axes, each driving a separate cage. They are, of course, flying tourbillons—a fitting tribute to beloved comic book characters.
